It’s May. New life is bursting through the ground, plants proving that they survived the winter; earth warming up to accept new ones. Where I live, it’s almost time to buy this year’s plants to add to the garden. There is promise in the air.

This month’s writing prompt can lift the spirits, and can raise questions. For some of us, it is an easy response; for others, pretty hard to figure out.

The prompt: The three things I love most at this moment in my life are… For each of them, give yourself a chance to mull over why, and why now, and how is this different (if it is) from last year or five years ago. Another way to say it: how do your choices reveal how you are changing as you grow older?
